Send TradingView alerts to MT5, from the website.Create a strategy, copy its address, and check the log.

A TradingView alert can become an MT5 order on your account. The website keeps the strategies and the alert log, and the PFX Executor on your terminal places the trade. Your webhook address is a secret, and the alert log shows you what arrived. Test on a demo account first.

Nothing trades until an alert arrives and the EA is on.

The website only passes alerts along. If a step doesn't look like the picture, that's normal: open the "Not seeing it?" box under it.

Before you start

Three checks. Tick them as you go.

Words you'll see. Strategy = one webhook address on the website, for one TradingView strategy or chart. Route key = the word that links an alert to one EA. Alert log = the list of every alert the website received.
1

Open Automation and create a strategy

One strategy per TradingView strategy or chart.

  1. Sign in on the website and open Automation.
  2. Create a strategy. Name it after the TradingView chart it belongs to.
  3. The strategy gets its own webhook address.
Keeping one address per strategy means a leaked one can be revoked on its own.
Not seeing it?

I can't find Automation. Sign in first, then open Automation from the site menu.

2

Copy the webhook address

It is permanent, and it is a secret.

  1. Copy the webhook address the strategy shows.
  2. It does not change when anything restarts.
  3. Paste it only into TradingView's alert. Never into a chat, a screenshot or a shared note.
Anyone with the address can send alerts to your strategy. If it leaks, revoke it on the Automation page.
Not seeing it?

I closed the page before copying. Open the strategy again on the Automation page. The address is shown there.

3

Add the terminal's key

The key links the strategy to one EA.

  1. On the Automation page, choose Add an account for the terminal, and copy the key it shows.
  2. The key is shown once. Paste it into the EA's cloud key input, and nowhere else.
  3. One key per chart. Name each key after its chart.
Not seeing it?

I lost the key. Revoke that terminal on the Automation page, add it again, and paste the new key into the EA.

4

Set the alert in TradingView

The message must carry the route key and the symbol.

  1. In TradingView, create an alert. Set its Webhook URL to your strategy's address.
  2. The message is JSON. action and symbol are required. instance must equal the EA's Route key.
  3. Everything else is passed through to the EA unchanged.
Use a placeholder route name while you test, such as Demo-1, and a small size. The EA's maximum lot size still applies.
Not seeing it?

TradingView says the message is invalid. Check the message is valid JSON: quotes around every name, commas between lines.

5

Fire one test alert

One alert at a time, so you can follow it.

  1. Fire the alert once on a demo terminal.
  2. Do not add more alerts until the first one has been followed to the end.
Not seeing it?

I can't trigger it on purpose. Wait for the condition you chose, or use TradingView's own test option if it has one. Do not force it on a live account.

6

Check the Alert log on the website

The first place to look.

  1. Open Automation → Alert log.
  2. Find your alert. It should show its action and symbol.
  3. If it is not listed, the problem is the TradingView alert or the webhook address. The EA is not the cause.
The log also shows how each alert was read, and whether each account received it.
Not seeing it?

It is not in the log. Check the webhook address in TradingView matches the one copied from the strategy, then fire again.

7

Check the terminal acted

The Executor is the last step.

  1. Open Toolbox → Experts in MetaTrader 5 and check the EA collected the alert.
  2. If the log shows it but the EA did nothing, follow the checks in part 3 of the Executor guides.
Not seeing it?

The EA says the route key does not match. The Route key and the alert's instance must match exactly, with no extra spaces.

Your safety nets

Three ways to keep alerts safe.

1

Keep the address secret

Anyone with it can send alerts. Revoke it on the Automation page if it leaks.

2

Demo first

Test the whole chain on a demo before you point it at a live account.

3

Maximum lot size

Set it on the EA. It is your last line of defence on every alert.

All done

You're set up.Nicely done.
