Terms of use.
In plain English.

These terms cover precisionfx.io, app.precisionfx.io, and the tools we publish (indicators, strategies, Expert Advisors and add-ons for MetaTrader 5 and NinjaTrader 8). The service is run by Dan Freeman, trading as PrecisionFX. By using the site or the tools, you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our risk disclosure.

You must be 18 or over, and allowed to trade and use these tools where you live. You're responsible for making sure that trading, or using automated trading tools, is legal for you.

Everything here is free: no price, no subscription, no paid tier. Donations through Ko-fi are voluntary and don't buy extra features, support or any right to future work. Some links are referral links — they're always labelled, and if you open an account through one, that business may pay us a commission. It never costs you anything extra.

Nothing on this site, in our tools, emails or posts is financial, investment or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Signals, levels, backtests and examples are information and education only. Every trading decision — and its result — is yours. Please read the risk disclosure.

• Keep access to your email account secure — sign-in codes are sent there. Turning on two-factor sign-in is recommended.
• Keep your journal connection links (the ones the EA or add-on uses) private; anyone who has one can send trades into your journal.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & privacy.

Your trades, notes, screenshots and other content stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run the journal for you. We don't publish them, and we delete them when you delete your account. You can download your data at any time.

Please don't:

• try to break into, overload, scrape or disrupt the site, or get at other people's data;
• upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that you don't have the right to share;
• resell, re-badge or sell our tools as your own, or remove their copyright notices;
• use the site to mislead others, for example by presenting our examples or backtests as your own live results.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Our indicators, strategies, Expert Advisors and add-ons are provided free, "as is". We work hard to test them, but we can't promise they are free of bugs, suit your broker, account or strategy, or will keep working with every future platform update.

• Always test a tool on a demo or simulation account before using it with real money.
• You are responsible for its settings, for watching it while it runs, and for the trades it places on your account.
• Tools downloaded from the MQL5 Market or NinjaTrader Ecosystem are also covered by those platforms' own terms.

We link to other services — MetaTrader, NinjaTrader, the MQL5 Market, Ko-fi and brokers. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their services, prices, conduct or availability. Any account you open with a broker is between you and that broker.

We may change, pause or stop any part of the site or any tool, especially while it's being built in public. We'll try to give notice of anything that affects your journal, and you can always export your data before a change.

The site and tools are free and are not a trading service. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for trading losses, lost profits, missed trades, or losses caused by bugs, delays, outages, wrong data, or how a tool behaves on your account.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited — for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — or takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

The PrecisionFX name, logo, website, tools and their code belong to us. You may use the tools for your own trading. Please don't copy or redistribute them without permission, except where a tool's own licence says you can.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll email account holders before any significant change takes effect. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. Questions: hello@precisionfx.io.
