Before you start
Two checks. Tick them as you go.
A prop-firm account in the journal keeps your copy of the firm's rules, your stages, the payments you actually received, and equity checkpoints you record yourself. The journal does not connect to the firm and does not verify its official status. Check everything against the firm's own statement.
You record what you read and what you received. If a step doesn't look like the picture, that's normal: open the "Not seeing it?" box under it.
Two checks. Tick them as you go.
Choose Prop firm as the type.
I can't see the prop option. Check you chose Add account, not an existing account. The Type list has Prop firm.
Copy the current rules, then check them.
My numbers don't match the firm. Check the firm's published rules for this exact account type and stage. Rules change, and an old copy will differ.
Progress is recorded by you, not read from the firm.
The status is out of date. Update the outcome and last trading day on the account's page, then check the overview again.
Only money you actually received, or paid.
Net cash doesn't match my statement. Check each payment is entered once, in the right currency, and that expected payouts are not in the list.
Your own equity checkpoints, not a live feed.
The equity card is empty. No checkpoints are recorded yet. Choose New checkpoint and enter your equity.
Trade updates come through your existing journal imports. Nothing is pulled from the firm.
The journal does not verify your account status with the firm.
Your firm's statement is the reference for cash and stages.
Read the firm's current written rules. The journal stores your copy and checks your numbers against it. It does not decide what the firm allows.
Risk warning: Prop-firm challenges and funded accounts carry rules and fees, and can end if a rule is broken. The journal records your own numbers and is not official firm status or investment advice.
