Review your trades.Look at what happened, then write down what you learned.

A review is a short look at each trade: what the broker recorded, whether you followed your playbook, and what you learned. The journal records what you write. It does not decide why a trade worked or failed. Take your time, and review a few trades a week.

Reviewing is reading and writing. Nothing is traded.

You can review a trade as many times as you like. If a step doesn't look like the picture, that's normal: open the "Not seeing it?" box under it.

Before you start

Two quick checks. Tick them as you go.

Words you'll see. Fills = the individual executions your broker reported. Tag = a label you add, such as the setup or a mistake.
1

Open the review inbox

The inbox lists the trades that still need a look.

  1. Open Trades. The Review inbox lists trades to review.
  2. Use the Account and Range filters to narrow the list. Clear date removes a date you set.
  3. Use the page buttons to move through the list.
If the list is empty, change the filter or choose a wider range. Open trades can be drafted from the Trades page.
Not seeing it?

The inbox is empty. Choose a wider range, or check the Account filter is not set to one account by mistake.

2

Read the trade

The broker's record comes first.

  1. Open a trade. The Details section shows what your broker reported.
  2. The Fills section lists the executions. The trade is built from these, so check them first.
If the fills look wrong, check the import or the broker record before you write anything about the trade.
Not seeing it?

The trade looks wrong. Check the fills match your broker's record. A typed trade can be deleted; an MT5 trade cannot.

3

Check the playbook

Only if the trade has a playbook attached.

  1. Open the Playbook section and read each check.
  2. Answer the checks you can. A check you leave unanswered is not counted as a break.
Playbook checks show what you planned. They do not judge the trade for you.
Not seeing it?

There is no Playbook section. The trade has no playbook. Attach one on the trade page if you want to check against one.

4

Write a short review

A few honest lines are enough.

  1. In the Review section, answer: did you follow the plan? What worked, and what didn't?
  2. Add Tags for the setup, any mistakes, and how you felt. Patterns show up over time.
Write what you saw, not what you hoped. Small samples are observations, not proof of an edge.
Not seeing it?

I can't type in Review. Check you are on the trade's own page, not the list. Refresh the page if the box is still missing.

5

Add screenshots if they help

Optional. A picture of the chart can jog your memory.

  1. In Screenshots, choose a picture and add a short caption, such as entry on the 5m.
  2. Remove a screenshot if you no longer need it.
  3. Use Replay this trade with historical candles to see the trade again on the chart.
Not seeing it?

The replay link is missing. It shows where historical candles are available for the trade. Some trades will not have them.

Your safety nets

Three ways to keep reviews honest.

1

Start from the fills

The broker's record comes first. Check it before you write.

2

Write what you saw

Your notes are your own observations. The journal does not infer them.

3

Small samples

A few trades are observations, not an edge. Review over a longer period too.

All done

You're set up.Nicely done.
